Adult's biological meaning is a term used to describe an animal that is that is capable of reproduction. When used with human beings, the term "adult" can have meanings that are related to legal or social concepts. Contrary to the term "minor" (or "non-adult" an legal adult is an individual who is a majority. They are thought to be competent, responsible and independent.
