An adult is a human being or any other animal that has attained the full growth.The biological meaning of the term is an animal reaching sexual maturity, and therefore capable of reproduction. In the context of humans an adult's term has significance that is shaped by the legal and social world. Legal adult means a person is at the point of adulthood and is defined as an independent, self-sufficient person and accountable. The word "major" is a term used to describe the person. 18 years is considered as the age of legal maturity, however, this definition may differ depending on the country, rights of the law or the development of a person's psychological.

The age of adulthood marks the point in human life when a person has reached full maturity in terms of both mental and physical development. The term "adulthood" is generally considered to begin at age 20 or 21. It is around 60 years later than middle the age of 60. Adulthood is divided into three stages beginning with young adulthood (18-mid-30s) and mid-30s to mid-60s and the final stage of adulthood, mid-60s to the time of death. The early adulthood stage is the one of physical maturity that is at the time we attain the age of 20 to 40 years old. The size and weight of our bodies can, however, slightly rise. Physical capabilities peak in young adulthood. This includes muscle strength and reflex speed, as well as sensors, and the heart's function.
