Adults refer to animals or humans which have attained their maximum growth and development. The term "adult" is often applied to humans to mean the legal and social aspects. As opposed to a "non-adult" or "minor" an legal adult is a person who is at the point of majority, and therefore is considered to be independent, self-sufficient, and responsible. You can refer to them as a "major". The average age at which you can attain legal adulthood is 18, but the definition can vary based on legal rights, country, and psychological development.

The lifespan of human beings adulthood is the time at which he or she is at the point of complete mental and physical maturity. The majority of people believe that adulthood starts at 20 years or more. Mid-life, beginning at about 40 years and is followed by the onset of the age of 60 years old. Adulthood is divided into three distinct phases The first is early adulthood (18-30 years) and Middle Adulthood (30-60 year olds) and finally, late adulthood (60%-60 60%). When we reach early adulthood, our body has reached the fullest physical maturation. Yet, our body's size and weight could increase. During young adulthood we reach the top of our physical ability.
