A human adult or animal is one that has grown in all its potential. Adult is a term used in the context of humans to mean moral and social concepts. As opposed to "minor" (or "non-adult", a legal-age adult refers to a person who is a an age at which they are majority. They are considered responsible, independent and capable. They are also known as a "major". The age for achieving the legal age of adulthood is 18 but the definition can vary based on legal rights, country and the level of development in psychological terms.

Adulthood refers to the period in human life when an individual has reached maturity both in physical and mental development. Adulthood is typically considered to begin at age 20 or 21 years. The age of old is 60 years after middle the age of 60. Adulthood can be divided into three stages beginning with early adulthood (18-mid-30s), mid-30s-mid-60s, and the final stage of adulthood, mid-60s to death. As we enter early adulthood, our body has reached the fullest physical maturation. But, the body's size and weight could rise. In young adulthood, our physical abilities are at their peak which includes muscle strength, reaction time as well as sensory capabilities, the functioning of our heart.
