A person who is an adult can be described as a human being or any other animal that has reached the full growth.The biological meaning of the term is an animal reaching sexual maturity, which makes it capable of reproduction. The term "adult" is often applied to human beings to refer to social and legal concepts. Legal adults are those who has reached the age of adulthood and is defined as independent, self sufficient, and responsible. Also known as "majors" They can also be considered to have reached the age of majority. The age of 18 is as the age of legal maturity, but this definition can differ depending on the country, rights of the law or the development of a person's psychological.

The age of adulthood marks the point that a person has reached full maturation in both physical and mental development. Adulthood is typically believed to start around the age of 20 or 21. The middle age begins at approximately 40 before being followed by an older age of around 60. In adulthood there are three distinct phases: Early adulthood (18-30 years) middle adulthood (30-60 year olds) and late adulthood (60%-60%). At the beginning phases of adulthood (between 20-40) the bodies of our children have reached their full maturity although our height and weight may rise slightly. In early adulthood our physical abilities reach their peak. They include strength of muscles as well as reaction speed.
