Adults are humans or animals that have reached their full developmental stage. Adults are social concepts and a legal one in the human world. In contrast to a non-adult or "minor" legally adult has reached the age of majority and is therefore considered to be independent, self-sufficient, and responsible. A legal adult can be described as a major. 18.18 is the norm for legally-adulted age at which you can become an adult but this could differ depending on country and the status of the law in addition to the maturity of the mind.

The lifespan of an individual Adulthood refers to the point in which the person has achieved full mental and physical maturity. Commonly, adulthood begins around the age of 21 or 20. Then, after middle age (starting at around 40), comes the age of old age (around age 60). In adulthood there are three distinct stages: Early adulthood (18-30 years) middle adulthood (30-60 years) and Late adulthood (60%-60%). By the time we reach an early age (20 to early 40s) our physical growth is complete, although our height and weight might increase slightly. Our physical capabilities are peaking when we are young adults. This is reflected in muscle strength, reflex time, sensitivities, and functioning of the heart.
